A lot of my houses use piston doors. They make things look grander and more professional but, how do you make them?

Here’s a simple and easy design for a 4x4 piston doorway.

The green wool means important blocks and the blue wool means wiring.

How it works:

Stepping on the pressure plate causes the wiring to switch on. The redstone gets fed into an inverter that toggles it in to its off state. When you step off the pressure plate, the pistons switch on and push the wood with them. When you are not on pressure plate, the pistons switch off and they pull the wood backwards, opening the path.
